Orange County Sheriff-Coroner Sandra Hutchens announces the formation of the Orange County Homeland Security Advisory Council (OCHSAC). The OCHSAC, chaired by Alan Orlob, chief security executive for Marriott International, is a non-profit organization that brings together business leaders from OC as well as local, regional, and national law enforcement representatives tasked with managing crisis events such as terror attacks, natural disaster, and cybercrimes.
A recent OCHSAC seminar on three different dimensions of cyber security, “People, Technology, and the Law,” brought together renowned speakers from industry and academia as well as representatives from the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center—part of the OC Sheriff’s Homeland Security command.   “These OCHSAC events help build the relationships between the Orange County business community and law enforcement that enable us to work together more effectively during crises,” said Sheriff Hutchens.
